On Sitting Still
A short note on the discipline nobody wants and everybody needs.
The hardest instruction I ever received was also the shortest: sit still. Not as posture but as policy. Stop auditioning new teachers, new books, new techniques. Stay where you were planted long enough to find out whether the dryness is in the soil or in you.
Almost always, it is in you. And that is good news, because you are the one thing on the path you can actually water.
